AMO
OH took his sister and I to their concert in Leicester last night and they ROCKED!!!! At first I wasn't that keen on going because the office took the mickey when I said we were going to see them but they were really brilliant. If they are playing anywhere near you GO GO GO!!! chickencam
We saw them at the Cornbury music festival in July and despite the useless sound system they were good. It reminded me of my youth. We stood in the queue for nacho's listening to 500 miles in glorious sunshine. The plates of nacho's were amazing absolutely huge and delish
AMO
They're good aren't they - did they sing 'Lets Get Married'? - I love that song Yes they did and all the old favourites 'Letter from America' and I'm on my Way' (one of the songs from Shrek). I nearly cried when they sang 'Sunshine on Leith' it was so moving live. That's it - I am officially a fan!!!
feemcg
My OH plays it a lot at weddings and it goes down really well with those that haven't heard it before

Ain't Nobody Here
Just wanted to boast about my brief brush with celebrity (haven't had any others apart from getting Gerry Rafferty's autograph & an invite to the backstage party when I worked in a hotel he was staying in. I'm showing my age - younger Omleteerians (Omleteenies??!) will have no idea who I'm talking about!) One of The Proclaimers used to live up the road from me and his son was in my son's class at primary school. My OH took our son to school one day & came back saying "there was a guy in the playground that looks just like one of The Proclaimers but doesn't have the glasses". Turns out it was! (I love their music too )
lisa33
I saw them a couple of years ago at Guilfest and they were great!!
Snowy
It's good to see some other Proclaimers fans out there! I also loved them 'in their day' and still do. But when I bought their album first time around, my mates just laughed at me! And I'm so annoyed I missed them last night Don't suppose they'll be back in Leicester anytime soon
Clash City Rocker
I'm going to Wolverhampton Civic Hall (tue 16 oct) with "Mrs Clash City Rocker" and "The Brat" to see them, it must be part of the same tour. How much of the new album did they play? We've got a copy but not really played it much. My favourite track "I'm on my way". For all you eighties kids, went to see "China Crisis" last night (thurs) at our local venue Huntingdon Hall in Worcester, Brilliant!!! Clash City Rocker
Went to last nights gig (16/10/07). I must admit that I wasn't that fussed about going but .....The Proclaimers were fantastic, a real feel good night out, reminded me of the Xmas Gang Shoes that Gary Glitter used to do before his fall from grace!! (every song a hit) Last nights version of "Sunshine on Leith" was a really electric couple of minutes, crowd singing along all word perfect in an "Robbie Williams-Angels" style. great night. craftyhunnypie
I like their music & how they use their Scottish accents in their singing - but I can't be done with their oversized mouths when they are singing - they make me feel a bit ugh! I think they looked far worse years ago - what with those mouths & the jam jar bottomed glasses. Ooo no, not really my sort of heart throbs. But still, their music is good. AMO
Funnily enough they didn't do the oversized mouth movement during the live show?
