Cinnamon
Anyone else been watching this? I love it, even if it is all a bit silly Johnathan Rhys Myers is so pretty & acts well too, even if he doesn't look like a typical Henry

Cate in NZ
I did mean to watch this when I saw the first trailers or whatever, but I totally forgot about it, and have only just been reminded of it by reading this . How far through is the series, I mean is it actually worth tuning in now . And when's it on, actually asking that is being lazy, I'll have a rifle through the TV guide
bronze
Their continuity guts need to sort themselves out though. There was loads of mistakes including a concrete bollard. Isnt J R-M just beautiful though and suits the part so much better than being nambypamby in bend it like beckham

Not sure what night its on....I have it on Sky+ at 1am or something, as it clashes with a couple of other things we watch. Its well worth getting into now.he has just seen Anne Boleyn for the first time, so its going to get saucy (more of the lovely Mr RM losing his clothes )

Cinnamon
Just bumping this up to ask if anyone has seen the latest episode yet - the one with the executions? I am asking because in the paper it says that one execution in particular is very harrowing ,& as I hate any gore or violence on TV,I wonder if anyone can tell me when I should hide behind my pillow? Sageandonion
Not watched the Tudors since the 1st series, but caught the last half of yesterday's episode by accident and really rather wished we hadn't . The beheadings were fairly tastefully done (ahem!), but the hanging, drawing and quartering was a bit drawn out, as were his insides . You didn't actually see the quartering - that would probably be a bit difficult on a BBC budget - so they made the most of the drawing, with lots of blood washing all over him. As you can tell, we hardly watched it at all .
helenp
The torture & executions were not as bad as I thought they were going to be. It's an American/Irish co -production, filmed with nearly a full English & Irish cast. The continuity has got better since the first series when it was awful, think they may have learnt that we notice things like building designs that are 200 years to early. JRM advetised Boss aftershave a few years ago, have to say I prefer Henry Cavil who plays Charles Brandon
