herecomethegirls
At what point should I introduce grit into my girls’ diet? They’re almost 5 weeks old and are currently still on chick crumb.
Beantree
We give ours grit when they switch to rearers pellets, so at about 6 weeks. But normal grit is too big so you can either sieve it or buy small bird grit from the pet shop. We add a small sprinkle to the feeder, rather than giving them a separate pot, because at that age they can get addicted to grit and just eat the lot.
Patricia W
When they are bigger, try Gastro Grit - otherwise known as Chicken Crack! I have to ration mine or mix it in with ‘normal’ grit. Get it from here - https://www.claretaylor.com
