Any ideas where to go to get one at a good price, & what the difference is between a DS & a DS Lite?

Too late i know Sarah, but i bought one for OH this week. In black though, came with a free bag and extra styluses (sp)? for £99 from Play.com. Still waiting for the game to arrive.

 

He is convinced his memory is going after the surgery he had in January, so i thought the brain game would be good for him!

I'm surprised he hasn't mentioned the game or DS Lite since Phil and Fern have been advertising it. He sits and giggles when they are on tv!

 

I really hope he likes it! We set the limit to £50 this year and i have gone slightly over budget

The brain game is fab, the girls and I all like to play it... there is a second one too, which is great as well, not a repeat of the first, the games are different, though on the same kind of themes...

Birthday pressie for January i think!!

 

Its a nightmare, all the people i know have Birthdays in November/December and January!!!

Hubby's birthday is on 2nd January.... we keep joking we should give him an official birthday in June some time, so we actually feel like celebrating, rather than feel exhausted from the xmas hype... after all if the queen as two birthdays, why shouldn't he?

We've said that about Duncan and Caitlin - both have birthdays in December - with Caitlins only a couple of days after Christmas - the poor things go all year round with next to no new toys, then get deluged with presents over a very short space of time.

My friend who's birthday is really close to Christmas nominated her "conception" day as her second birthday and always used to have a party then - 9 months before her "real" birthday!

My cousin, who's birthday is Christmas Day started having an "official" birthday in July...as her mother got fed up of miserable tight fisted relatives (Mentioning no names just in case they are reading!) giving her a present just slightly bigger than you would expect for either/or, but not equivalent to two presents if you see what I mean, whereas their own children always benefitted from the generosity of others.

 

Also, her special day was lost in all the excitement of Christmas, so it gave her an opportunity to be centre of attention.

The DS was the first nintendo and the DS lite is the better updated version that your daughter would definatly perfer.I looked online for you. go on Game Uk;s website, just google GAME and on the left hand side theres a list of different consoles. click on nintendo DS and I think you can find one for £99.99. Hope this Helps

It's worth having some spare styli ( or styluses??) the ones for the DS Lite are fatter than the DS. My darlings are always chewing theirs and losing them.

Slightly more expensive than October (4 family birthdays, not to mention several close friends)

 

I also think that the older we get the more birthdays we have to buy for...

i have had a ds for a while... and so has my mate... and another mate has a ds lite!! they are so good and she won't be disapointed

 

however extra styluses is an understatement.... my sister has lost 5!! its just a good thing that they aren't expensive and they come in cool coloures like silver (mines silver!)

 

smaller games cases are also useful because the cases u buy the games in are quite big which makes taking them on holiday difficult

 

only downside is... the games are expensive... all my pocket money gone in one arghhhh!!
