Rona
We picked up the girls this morning and got them home safely into the eglu which I've put up on the grass as its still quite mild. I will move it to their wood chipped winter quarters later but I thought it would be nice to let them experience the grass for a little while. It took them a while until they worked out how to move around on it but by the end of the afternoon they were trotting up and down the run and Shiraz and Cava had even got their balance enough to have a bit of a scratch and s"Ooops, word censored!"e about. They didn't seem to understand that they should go into the eglu when it was dark. I was a bit worried as it is a quite cold for such scantily clad girls to be out but I remembered reading on here about someone putting a torch in the eglu. Merlot saw the light and went in but Shiraz and Cava started bawking at the other end of the run, so they ended up getting 'helped' in via the egg-port. I'm sure they will manage alright tomorrow. I just hope they are alright overnight as they all had times today when they were all hunched up with their eyes closed. Probably sleeping I know but you can't help worrying - I'm exhaused and I've done nothing much except watch them all afternoon!!

Guest
ahhhhhhhhhhh, we got ours 3 weeks ago tomorrow and they've settled in VERY well now. Were yours fascinated by the sky? Our girls just stood and stared upwards for ages, poor things had never seen the sky before and they were dazed and confused. Don't worry, they'll soon settle in and big kudos for you for rescuing those poor deserving ladies
