bronze
Mine are under cover, but always have been anyway ditto I would be covering them anyway just as a precaution as I'm in Norfolk but more to keep MIL/neighbours off my back. Funnily its the other people that I have the worried about not the birds. I just don't want to lose them (because of whingeing) so will go along with it as its an easy thing for me to do. I don't get though how they'll fret about my girls (with mil its cos of the children) yet eat meat pumped full of "Ooops, word censored!" and ready meals with more added extras than orginal content. Weirdly DH is annoyed with his mum too as he thinks shes being over the top and he doesnt even particularly like my girls (he says)

Helly Welly
Mine are always under cover at this time of year simply because our garden gets too boggy in winter for them to be out all the time and their run has a roof. ABsolutely nothing to do with bird flu, its doubtful that its been brought over by migrating birds anyway. If Defra come calling then i'll put fruit netting around the sides just to make sure, but somehow i think we'll be fine.
Lesley
We have the facilities to cover all ours should the need arise - at the moment, they are still ranging out in the open.
tenzin
I do keep mine under cover but also allow them to roam free , if it gets real bad then they'll have to stay under cover

How can you say that then - 'try not to worry' ... Bacon butties are the worlds best food! I'll probably have cancer by the time i turn 30 then, cos they are a stable part of my diet!
