little chickadee
I've found everyone on here to be really really helpful. Welcome to the forum and I hope your family enjoy the chickens. We've got no eggs yet and they are already great entertainment!!!
Cheryl
A BIG BIG thank you for everyones help on here, blimey I wish people were as lovely and helpful ass this all the time about everything else!.. obviously the kind of people who have chickens are a positive and kind natured breed and I am absolutely delighted to be joining you all... I still have managed to keep quiet and not let the 'cat out of the bag', with regard to my hubby who doesnt know about his Christmas Prezzie..I want to give him something different and I think he will love the chickens..I keep walking around the garden trying to picture the best place, its so annoying because I would love to ask his opinion, but I cant, awwwww Still, I think this year will be a nice time to get them as we have had a pretty tough time renovating our house for two years and for the past 2 christmases we have been in a real mess with builders and costs, we have surfaced after many kickbacks and now we can relax a bit... Thank you once again, and I shall look in all the time to see if there is any more advice for me ... xxxx
Egluntyne
Hi Cheryl and welcome. What a fab Christmas present! Pretty much everything has been covered. I use Aubiose, which is similar to Hemcore. Fab. Other essentials for me are Barrier Redmite Powder (not because we have redmite...I use it now and then to be on the safe side, and it smells lovely), and Garlic Powder. I notice that you live in North London. Please be extra vigilant if you let the girls out to play.....the London Fox is notorious. Any questions.....ask away!
