Lesley
For those who don't have time or the expertise......this is a brilliant site http://www.idealmoments.co.uk I ordered at 7.30pm on Tuesday and my excluder was delivered this morning. I was looking for inspiration but decided I didn't have the time to make a draught excluder like this one.......... They have a wonderful Dalmation doorstop as well...but I didn't buy one of those

The Dogmother
I like the enamelled bread bin - been looking for one of those for ages. I'd prefer a 2nd hand, shabby one though.. better keep scouring boot sales and tat shops!
Laura & CTB
I could send you a piece of sandpaper Clare - give it a quick once over then drop it a couple of times et voila!!! - shabby
The Dogmother
You read my mind Laura! I did that recently with a porch light that I bought and still haven't yet installed. Used Nitromors to remove the laquer, booted it around a bit, rubbed with wire wool - perfect It's this one
Charlottechicken
I like the enamelled bread bin - been looking for one of those for ages. I'd prefer a 2nd hand, shabby one though.. better keep scouring boot sales and tat shops! My mum has a white and dark blue one similar to the one on the site. It is very shabby though, lots of rust (she keeps it in the shed with bird food in) . I have the late 60's/70's version, brown with cream 'bubble' writing on. I keep it in the back porch for my glass/plastic/tin recycling bits and bobs. I think I acquired it with the house. Keep looking Clare, they crop up in the most unusual places!
