Egluntyne
Meant to say...when I was fettling the hens and changing their run covers etc this aft...I had not one, but two helpers!! Two delightful robins swooped about and dithered on the posts of the Omlet netting for most of the time I was out there. I was only inches away from them and they seemed totally unafraid. It's not often that you see more than one. Lovely.

Snowy
Went for a lovely walk this morning along the canal, accompanied by a little robin hopping alongside through the hedges! Lovely!
Christian
I have a robin, imaginatively called Robin, who visits every day. i have started feeding him meal worms much to the disgust of the chickens!

Ladylucan
We have one in our garden that seemed to move from our old house when we moved and he followed us. We say that its my dad, as he only really started to appear not long after my dad died, and when ever we would work in the garden he would appear as if watching what we were doing, Funnily enough we havent seem him this year till a couple of days ago when we started work on the new chicken house, and he has appeared again. my dad always was a prefectionist when it came to working with wood and it seems as though he is keeping his eye on DH and his diy skills.... That is so nice LadyL! OH lost his Dad a few years ago and believes that our 'Robin' is his Dad. I bought him a robin nest box as part of his Christmas Pressie last year and he really loved it. nicki9
What a lovely story. We've got a robin in our garden too, he sits on the rabbit run and watches the chickens, they are really cute. I like the robin nesting box idea - think I may go for that too.
Tessa the Duchess
We have two robins living in the garden. I have several peanut/fat ball feeders hanging in the trees and the robins eat the bits that fall on the ground, it makes the chickens cross if they are shut in the run Tessa
Lovemychooks
I too have a Robin that arrives when i'm in the run with the girls. It arrives without fail as soon as I do and leaves when I do. It's lovely

Ladylucan
Thankyou, we do talk to him as well, . I love the idea of the Robin Nesting box, can i ask where u got it from,,, It just makes me feel a little closer to him, and that despite his being gone helps me think that he is watching over us somewhere. Silly i know, it just seemed strange to see him at odd times when we needed him if you know what i mean. xx
