Couperwife
Clash city Rocker I think you may have a little point there. we all seem to be on a bit of a roll with the "major rant" thingy dont we. BUT, there are many good things in the forum as well more reasons to shop at Morrisons perfect all singing all dancing buggie VERY proud mother alert the good life Christmas charity giving Christmas gifts yes, there are issues, but there are also happy times too. dont forget how many babies are due at the moment, thats got to be a good thing People always seem to focus on the bad things and 3 weeks to christmas, the weather is lousy (but then it is winter, and the weather is lousy during winter - thats what winter is for ) I think its good that we have somewhere where we can rant and not be shot down for it. However, I do like the happy jolly feeling that is on here frequently to. cathy x

feemcg
I'm afraid in Scotland it's Santa - you rarely hear a Scot's person saying Father Christmas.

Phil There was a long thread about this last year as I recall.....I can't find it now. I seem to remember that we all had our own views...all valid but very different. It's not worth revisiting really. I don't suppose any of us will have changed our opinion..
Guest
I don't mind either to be honest but I tend to say "Father Christmas" sounds more cuddly somehow and that's what I was brought up to say. No big deal really either way. I'm not that keen when people write "Xmas" instead of "Christmas", not because I'm religious but I just think it's lazy and "Christmas" looks nicer (she says, writing DH constantly )
