Christian
She says you can use larger tomatoes too, just cut them smaller. Makes sense I guess!

Jules.
I made these overnight, & they are for our tea ( we're having visitors ) Should I refrigerate them now, or just leave them in the dish they were cooked in on the worktop? It doesn't say in the cook book.
chickencam
I'd leave them at room temperature if you are going to eat them today

Omletina Kyckling
I was in the midst of baking a coffee cake when I read this thread so quickly went and picked some of my tomatoes and they are now in the turned off oven doing their stuff! Thanks for the tip!!
Christian
I made them again this week, with some of our own yellow cherry toms. All done and place in a jar, topped up with Olive oil.
Blackrocksrock
How long will they keep in the jar with the olive oil? Sounds ideal to use up the small toms

Christian
Well, they lasted about 3 days in the fridge until I got the munchies.......
Omletina Kyckling
Well, they lasted about 3 days in the fridge until I got the munchies....... I convince myself that by not putting them in oil, they are really healthy, but not sure eating the whole trayful in one sitting is that healthy really....very satisfying though!! Egluntyne
What a stroke of luck....I've got some cherry tomatoes sitting in the fridge, not doing very much!
Christian
You do have to make sure that if you have a fan to cool your oven down, that you switch it off. DON'T open the door, until the morning. They are really nice. I used sea salt and a few herbs from the garden.
Egluntyne
They are in the oven. Nothing so posh as fan assisted though.
Blackrocksrock
I cannot switch my fan off when it comes on itself to keep the oven cooler
Cinnamon
Oh,didn't think of the fan problem. Mine is fan assisted too, & it won't switch off. Wonder if cranking the heat up a bit will do?
