Well I was going to try and be a little more charitable and give it to my mum - then pack her off to college and let them show her how to use a computer It's not a brilliant spec and the rather horrid (IMO) EI Systems machine. As for the girls, there's much better spec ones out there these days too, have a look around, pity the PC World sale has ended - they had some good deals on offer toward the end Still, you can at least get a nice shiny high spec'd one and I know a man with a laptop just knocking about...... So guess who's off to see if they let me have it - so that'll be four laptops in the house ( I shan't mention the loan one I still have ) They were supposed to have stopped the damaged machine coming back to me but as they can't be bothered to sort things out I may as well just have it and bad luck on them for being so incompetent Will let you know how I get on A xx Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
One Man Banned Posted February 14, 2008 Author Share Posted February 14, 2008 They let me have my laptop back, well the old one - and they managed to lose the charger in the process Still, I shan't make a fuss about it as I have the loan laptop and there was no paperwork relating to it so they have no idea I have it Now, which one do I give to my mum I really haven't done too badly out of this have I I've got 3 laptops worth over £1600 for an initial cash outlay of £350 back in August. My son has our previous Dell laptop and it is still going strong after 8 years. Our current Dell develped a screen fault after 2years. The company arranged collection, fixed the problem, and returned it within 7 days. There was no charge. Dell computers do cost more than other makes but are worth it.
