What a great idea - we could all wear outfits the colour of our eglus, and form a guard of honour with roosting bars,, and instead of confetti we could throw..............no NOT poo I was thinking of shredded nesting paper (clean of course!) chocchick
Throwing diatom (or layers mash) while she marches up the aisle to the sound of crowing chickens (or the birdy song ) Don't employ me as your wedding planner

red
Thanks for all you good wishes on the wedding front and all your "lovely" suggestions - unfortunately I want the OH to say YES on the big day and I fear the Omlet Club incarnate might scare him off!! He's fearful enough when he sees me log on (Actually the truth of the matter is that I am already feeling very mild pangs of guilt about ruthlesslessly striking some of relatives from my guest list in order to get everyone into my desired venue - I hope I am not being too unfair by not inviting relatives who I hardly ever see in favour of my good mates? ) Anyway, nearer the time I'll send you all details of how to post Online Telegrams for the BM to read out I will definately have one of my girl's eggs as my "something blue" (boiled of course!) ... Cate in NZ
I will definately have one of my girl's eggs as my "something blue" (boiled of course!) ... Eggsellent idea Red, so much more original than the usual garter I'm with you on the valued friends rather than obscure relatives on wedding guest lists, but it is a difficult one, trying to strike the balance between getting the people you want invited, rather than those who think that they [/b]should be invited without causing offence, or family battles. Good luck with it We'll all have an online forum celebration for you- just tell us when and I for one will be here, with a glass of wine, ready to toast you and your man (Any excuse )
Linda
Red, on your wedding day you invite those people who you know will want to share in your happiness. It's unfortunate if that means you can't invite distant family members you are not particularly close to. My SIL got married last summer. She had close family members there and lots of friends who were really happy for her and her new husband. It made for a very joyous and relaxed occasion. Have a lovely wedding day. I love your very original 'something blue'! (Only an omleteer..............)
Mel (& Paul)
Red I totally agree - its YOUR day (and I suppose, to some extent OH ) and you must do what YOU want. I am trying out different champagnes and wines and will let you know my recom-rec-recommendashions soon *hic*
The Dogmother
Red, I did exactly the same when I was married; I only wanted friends and close family there (not that it did me a lot of good!)
