Sheilaz
Congratulations Nicola, Chatty Chicken number 3! Esther & I have been watching for the last week so I could be the 1st to congratulate you but had to go to Plumber's merchants & missed it. Only right that Kate should be 1st though! By the way Louise, I'm ashamed to say I've overtaken you...due to not doing half the things I should have done! Wonder who else has lots? Well done Nicola xx

Lesley
Congratulations Nicola! I didn't notice - we need some sort of warning system don't we?! Sheila - there is somewhere to look to see the number of postings. It is at the top - Memberlist, go to the bottom and choose Top Ten Posters - Descending. You are currently at number........... Sheilaz
Thanks Lesley, hadn't seen that before. Had a look but now I'm embarrassed. 2nd in line but only joined 2 months ago.... Next one to reach it should be SarahJo.........unless someone overtakes!
SarahJo
Oh I missed it ... well done Nicola , that was "speedy" I think Sheila ... unless she keeps putting the pesky kettle on will be next, am far to busy fussing over Mrs Snowy .
Sheilaz
Don't worry, kettle won't stop me. I have it down to a fine art...kettle on, back to PC for a read, back to kettle as it boils! Only problem is when offspring leap onto computer when I'm reaching for the teabags. But 2 are living away, one is at pub or work a lot this week & 1 goes to bed when I tell her to. I know I should change the pesky kettle to a chicken but it is just so typically me...the kettle is always on in our house! Would be out with chickens more but having Pondman here, then builders & plumbers tomorrow onwards, is restricting our movements. (& driving me barmy) But at least I can make even more pots of tea!...
motherhen
Just to warn you - totally repelling teenage daughter informs me that people who post a lot are called 'postwhores'!!!!!! Apparently she does an average of 18 a day on the forum she uses - have informed OH to crack whip re this and revision for AS's. Just pleased that the teenage members on our forum show more restraint than this. Apparently my average is 'pathetic'. Opinion of TRTD who said it with that superior and pitying tone of voice only teenage girls can achieve. And this is the loving mother who allowed her to go to a Manic Street Preachers concert last night and have rural schoolfriends sleep over. Am just chasing them all off to school. Revelation to friends who have to leave the house at 7.15 that Ruth can stroll out of our house at 8.30 and still get to school on time. Sheilaz
MY TRTD just calls me sad.....but its almost become a compliment, well I take it as one. Lovely to hear about your houseful there Jane...I just love it, (mostly). City life does have some advantages but hope daughter gets turn to stay with rural friends. motherhen
I'm sure the phrase doesn't have the same meaning to teenagers as it does to us - I was a bit shocked when she came out with the phrase Even more so when told that she is definitely one and proud of it!!! This is my darling daughter who was very sweet once. She even calls my girls 'the smellies' - this is so not true They are delightfully fragrant in comparison to the trashed pit TRTD calls her bedroom. Lesley
My son has just shouted through the door on entering - "Are you on that *&&^** Forum again" I'm going to take his key off him so that at least i can pretend to be doing something when he comes. He wasn't supposed to be here until lunchtime but he got hungry (he's working across the road) - collected a box of cereal and disappeared (and he took some chocolate I had hidden as he said I don't need it )
motherhen
All women need chocolate. It contains some essential chemical we can't easily get elsewhere.
