feemcg
Final tally is 6 Exchequer Leghorns (1 very late straggler just out) and 4 Light Sussex - i'll get some individual pics shortly.
ruth1
Forgive my lack of chicken knowledge Fee but which are which in the cute photo? I pick my 6 up on may 21st- cant wait
feemcg
Ruth, the plain ones are the Light Sussex - they look more yellow but when their wee wing feathers start to come in they'll be white. The black and yellow Exchequer Leghorns should end up black and white mottled (although one of them has hatched more brown and yellow ). I'll try and post more pics tomorrow, meant to do it tonight but have been in Glasgow at a Uni open night with eldest daughter. Just changed their paper and put the light off - it's like putting a baby to bed, lovely when they all snuggle up and fall asleep
Eyren
Aww, bless! Chicks must be lovely - but my DH wouldn't stand for getting rid of the boys, so I'll have to stick to pullets. Men are so soppy!
feemcg
.....though they pretend not to be
Eyren
Yeah, they like everyone to think they're so hard! My husband is a Scot, so it's more than his manhood's worth to admit to anyone else what a softie he is. Ooops!
