They've said "wintery showers" which basically means rain with the odd chance of slush falling from the skies. Nice Our school is closed until Thursday because the heating and hot water broke down on Friday - I ask you. I bet if ask if I can take the kids out for four days during term time for a holiday they'll tut and um and ahhh. I shall have something to say if they do. Now if we had snow like THAT I could understand them closing - they did last year. Too cold. Too slippery. Then in the summer it was too hot. THIS IS BRITAIN NOT THE ANTARCTIC OR THE TROPICS! She asked if she ate her lunch quick could she go out and play, but I couldn't let her - she'd get soaked and she only gets 45 mins for lunch. We went on holiday to see Father Christmas in Lapland a couple of years ago and it was the most fabulous holiday we've ever had. The scenery was amazing.
