Phosphorus
Anyone recommend any suppliers for roofing for runs. DH is thinking of onduline (sp?). Wondered if anyone can recommend - online or otherwise (B&Q etc). Thanks Andrea
Tessa the Duchess
Anyone recommend any suppliers for roofing for runs. DH is thinking of onduline (sp?). Wondered if anyone can recommend - online or otherwise (B&Q etc). I am using that corrugated plastic stuff, same stuff as ANH covers her run with I looked at Onduline but thought it was a bit too heavy duty and wouldn't let in much light. I am putting weldmesh on the roof first to make it totally foxproof, fingers x'd Tessa
BarbaraJ
Mines the same as Tessa's. Weld mesh then corrugated plastic
Tessa the Duchess
I did debate for a while making a 'living roof' on the run. A friend of mine has made one on her shed at her allotment. I think it would be so cool to have grass and wild flowers growing on the roof but I abandoned the idea because it would have made the run too dark. Eyren
The rather s"Ooops, word censored!"y runs made by Wells Poultry Housing use corroline, which I believe is a lightweight version of onduline - apparently you can get it from B&Q and Wickes, but I couldn't find it on their website (probably they don't sell it online). Gentle1973
We got onduline yesterday in B&Q to re-roof our coop, having had a red mite invasion last year.
superjules
Wickes had lots of different types of wavy roofing, clear, opaque, big waves, small waves, onduline. We've got chicken wire over the top of the run then the "big-wave" clear plastic to let in max. light.
