craftyhunnypie
He wants a cherry picker to lop off the tops of the too big trees & for maintenance of our future smallholding...but I think one would be the ultimate noseying tool & maybe good for bungey jumping!!! Or I could stick him high in the air & leave him there for a bit of peace!!! Emma.x
Tessa the Duchess
I would like a magnolia tree. I've wanted a magnolia tree for years I finally bought one about 2 months ago. Apparently some of them can take 5/10 years to start blooming, so the quicker you get one the better if you want to see the flowers. Cate in NZ
I've tried to think about my bucket list, but I can't think of anything right now, except that I want to be able to see and be proud of my adult children, and to hold my grandchildren one day, before I die. But I can't influence that right now, beyond trying to give my currently teenaged children a good life with strong values and respect so that, ultimately I hope that they will be adults I am proud of. Otherwise I'm currently working very hard on changing our lifestyle and making our dreams come true. Whether or not NZ will deliver us the lifestyle we want I truly don't know, but we're testing ourselves, having one heck of an adventure and trying something completely different. chickenlass
I think that my bucket list will just be to have made provision for all my pets in the event of my kicking the bucket and to have enjoyed my life and die accepting that there are some thing you just can't change. chelsea
5 - When the mortgage is paid, buy a motorhome and tour europe don't wait til then, we didn't! dont blame you Poet! We wont leave the dog though she's our baby so she comes on holiday with us - so touring europe isnt an option at the moment. We did look into the pet passport scheme, but too worrying and too much red tape/paperwork.
BeckyBoo
Those pet passports are a bit complicated, I've left it too late for this year already apparently - timing is everything! My bucket list is my dream list, I'm not dissatisfied with my life at all, I've got a lovely hubby and three fantastic children (who have driven me mad today) but I like to daydream, I like the "what if...." "What if I won the lottery, how many lives could you change with one of those massive wins?" Imagine if you were mortgage free how different your life would be. Ours would change beyond reognition. We could take all three swimming every weekend or skating not just every month or so, costs nearly £30 a time with the 5 of us. So if I won the lottery I could make all my friends mortgage free. I could send a cash gift to the kids that we've had over from Belarus, give a big bung to the people we sponsor our little girl in Bolivia through, educate my children through private school (there's another can of worms!) and not worry if they wanted to stay in education til they were 21. I think we're a bit like Bronze, three small kids, big mortgage, average income = flat broke! So I like my bucket list, I like to read about the places I would like to go, it doesn't matter if I don't get there but if opportunities do arise, that's what I'll be doing! Chillicat
Jules - get your magnolia tree now. Its perfect timing as the blooms are out. Just like you, this was a "must have" and I have a Magnolia Stellata in a black pot. It has very thin petals and the buds are popping all over the branches and looks like a bright white firework display. Garden centres have loads right now and there is nothing like seeing the buds before you commit to buy. Good luck Mrs Bertie - agree with your bucket list as its important to have a lifelong to do list! 1. I need a new front door before it falls to pieces. 2. When the kids have grown up I would like to travel......everywhere! 3. To get married - we've been together for 13 years and would like to get married before I'm 40 (June 2009! aaaarrrrrgh!). I'm sure that my bucket list would end up being as deep as a well if I put my mind to it!
Basset
I've tried to think about my bucket list, but I can't think of anything right now, except that I want to be able to see and be proud of my adult children, and to hold my grandchildren one day, before I die. But I can't influence that right now, beyond trying to give my currently teenaged children a good life with strong values and respect so that, ultimately I hope that they will be adults I am proud of. I agree, my best wish would be to see my lovely children grow up happily, and to spend happy times with them and any grandchildren they may give me!! Beyond that, everything else seems insignificant to me.
Clur
Mine is to spend more time with my family - ultimately I'd love to change careers but finances (or more accurately, lack of them) drives that!
