Trixabell
if my fat is simply an adipose child waiting to get out i'm happy to keep it Cried my eyes out at the end of Torchwood and my mouth was down by my knees when Rose appeared in Doctor Who, i loved Rose so far no one can come close to replacing her, Billie Piper is the best (am also a belle du jour fan) and I really hope that she will be back for good
Jules.
Has anyone noticed the amount of bad language in DW? Ethan copied some after he had watched it , and we had to tell him that what he said wasn't nice. Poor child, he has no way of knowing what's nice to say, & what's not. I think an email to the BBC will be on its way today.
Lesley
I didn't notice any - but I wasn't watching it with children.......
Jules.
Have a listen next time. It's the phrases that are used, not a particular word singularly.
Lesley
You're not the only one who is unhappy with the way it is going Dan - I agree with every word you've written there
Helly Welly
I thought we were getting only specials next year because DT was doing Hamlet in Stratford? My family and I love all the DW episodes, although some are better than others. To my mind, there's no point nit-picking, you either like it or you don't. The Abzorbaloff episode wasn't very good because it had to feature a monster designed by a Blue Peter competition winner, hardly the writers fault. Abi loves getting the DW magazines and watches it avidly, to her it doesn't matter who writes what, she loves them all equally.
Jules.
What did you think of tonight's epsode? We nearly spat our tea out in hysterics at the last scene in the roman household Poor.
Goosey Lucy
I wasn't impressed much either. Definitely one ES can watch tho. That will be his treat tonight
Tina C
I found last night's a bit boring. I felt there was too much that younger viewers would not understand - and as for the water pistol.... Those women (forgotten what they were called ) reminded me of an episode we have on tape from the Sarah Jane era with a 'sisterhood' in it (forgotten what its called as well - they had a precious oil giving them 'youth'?). I much preferred the older storyline despite the wobbly scenery etc.
Jules.
I thought the water pistol was genius! Made me giggle

Ziggy
The water pistol and the end scene was good for the kids... made my 10 and 8 year old girls giggle...
MedusA
I loved the inside joke Welsh references, as a lot of it was filmed near Merthyr Tydfil. I think the Doctor's dilemma was well drawn and Donna's suggestion to save at least one person was a nice "human" touch. I love the new Doctor Who as well as all the old episodes. The polystyrene-boulders-in-a-quarry were notorious. Maybe in the future people will think the same about the current use of CGI.

Jules.
What do you think will happen tomorrow night? What will I do if DT leaves? Will my avatar have to change?
Guest
What do you think will happen tomorrow night? What will I do if DT leaves? Will my avatar have to change? on t'radio this morning they said that the four "specials" will all feature DT... so - if he transforms tonight (which I doubt) - then he's back for the specials is a flash-back or wibbly/wobbly time-like fashion.. would be no point regenerating into new actor - if then the specials will all have DT in them.... anyway - Heroes finished last night - and DH tomorrow... what will we do??? Yorkshire Pudding
Please, no! I want to keep this Doctor, I know he isn't to everyone's taste but we like him! This is the first series that my YS has been able to watch (he was just a bit too young for the previous ones), so instead of recording each episode, 'vetting' it and then either letting the littlies watch, or not depending on the fear factor, we have been able to sit down together every Saturday night and enjoy an episode. The boys have loved it. When the Doctor looked like he might regenerate, YS was heartbroken because this is 'his' Doctor.
AnnieR
NNoooooooooo, they can't get rid of DT! Not keen on Donna, cant they change her instead....Please!
Mutrix Farmers
NNoooooooooo, they can't get rid of DT! Not keen on Donna, cant they change her instead....Please! I agree, but I don't want Martha back, and Rose needs to lose the peculiar voice. I think Bernard Cribbens (as Donna's Grandad) would make a fab companion
susanbb
I agree. Bernard Cribbins has been absolutely wonderful
Treekeeper
Yes he's great but too old for a companion and not pretty enough! We've had to put up with lumpy Tate we want a Rose or a Martha at least they're good to look at in the ture historical sense of DrW companions. Tina C
Aaah but my theory is that there will be a female Dr Who soon - so then we might get dishy male companions
Guest
Was there not a headline in a newspaper last week saying that David Tennant had signed some mulit-million deal to do more Dr Who?! Did I dream it?!
Guest
Just googled it, and it was a report in the Scotsman last week, staying that the BBC are planning to offer him £1.3 million to stay. LINKY THINGY
Helly Welly
At the beginning of last Sat's episode, there was a strange focus on the hand in a jar. AT the end when DT is starting to regenerate, Rose is standing near the jar, moaning that she's only just found him again. I think she's going to throw the hand at him whilst he regenrates which will mean he regenerates as himself, DNA and all that. Whaddya think, plausible theory?
