I promise I was very brave (well until they went to put me under and then I had a bit of a grizzle! ) I was due out on the same day but they decided to keep me in overnight, so in the end I wasn't allowed home until Thursday afternoon. However, as the staff kept telling me, I was very lucky because I was put in a side room for some reason rather than on the main ward, so the only snoring I had to listen to was my own! I am having to visit the practice nurse every couple of days to have the wound dressed - I didn't know until Friday that I actually have a hole in my tummy - they didn't tell me at the hospital. Apparently they have cut the problem out and not stitched it (deliberately), so it has to be 'seen to' every other day (I won't give the gory details). Needless to say the pain killers are much needed at the moment Thanks for the offer of the mags Freddie - at the moment I'm ok ... busy ploughing my way though some books I have been meaning to read and some films I have been wanting to watch ... oh and sleeping! Really kind thought though. (that's why I love this forum - you are all so lovely - unlike the mini forum my husband uses where the nastiness defies belief ) And the best bit - I get to have 2 weeks off work (well just over actually) .... although I will not be so happy when I get back to my overflowing in tray, email inbox, etc etc etc Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
