Good hair day

Recommended Posts

Well today is the day that I get something done with my locks. Having various colours of highlights & it cut into a long modern hairstyle. VBut I'm so nervous as I don't really do haircuts! Been letting it grow & grow, but its needing tidying now, as the ends are bitty & the constant all over dyeing hasn't done it much good. So hopefully it will get back into better condition. It's not mega terrible, as I have used coconut & jasmine hair oil on it.

I'm looking forward to being pampered, but a bit nervous about the cutting side of things. A new hairdo, for a new lighter me!

Hi Emma

Just to say hope all goes well with your hair cut - I hate going to the hairdressers. We sound like we are in a similar situation - mine is getting quite dry now from far too much dyeing, but I've started using something called Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstruction Conditioner. It's brilliant. Hair looks so healthy, even the heairdresser asked what I was putting on it as she had a similar problem.

Good Luck

I am sure you feel fantastic once its done - I had mine cut yesterday - from below shoulders to chin length and although its still a surprise when I look in the mirror it feels lovely and light and flippy!

I actually asked my hardresser if she had ever had anyone saying 'cut it all off' and then regretted it - only once and it was a 14 year old girl (poor hairdresser had tried to dissuade her as she was concerned that the girl was just trying to be dramatic and was close enough in age to know that most 14 year olds love their long hair).

I know you are not having yours cut off but a restyle sounds just what you need.

Enjoy the pampering and enjoy your glamorous new look.

Let us know how it goes :D:D:D:D

I always think a new style or colour makes for an instant feel good moment :D

I keep pondering about having a complete new look...............when I was younger I was always having it different colours and styles and a few times had it all cut off (never regretted it) :D:D:D Think next appointment.........I might just go for it

I've had all styles and colours! From almost an inch all over cut & dyed red, to lovely long curls, to asymetrical bobs (Human League hairdo), to typical 80's hairdos! It's just long with a slight natural wave. I too use Aussie shampoo, conditioner & the 3 minute miracle - it's lovely stuff - smells nice too.

I looked on the net for styles that I liked & got hubby to choose also what he liked...this is what we decided on.

I'm being bold and getting my hair all cut off on Wednesday :D

At the moment it's sort of down to my bra strap but I am having it VERY short.

Like this........ http://www.short-hairstyles.com/short/s18.htm (Pic 6)

I have always loved growing my hair long then just having the whole lot cut really short. Feels sooo different afterwards :D

I have had it so many different ways and luckily for me my hair grows ultra fast so if I was to ever regret it-it wouldn't take long to grow back anyway

Good Luck Emma, I know just how you feel, I hope you feel thoroughly pampered, it turns out exactly as you wish, and your friends and family love it :) It will do you the world of good!

I've always had long hair and had it cut into a long bob in November and I've had it cut twice since and gone shorter each time and now have it graduated at the back and angled down at the front  However, whilst I get many compliments from friends and people at work & I love actually having my hair in a "style" for once instead of it just being there, my DH and children have said enough is enough & want me to grow it again  the children say I don't look like me anymore & I just look like everyone else's mum now. (my children are actually 14, 22 and 24 years old!)

I love long hair & so does my hubby. I once had it cut to sort of bob length & he hated it..& so did I. It was a pain to look after as a certain bit always curled out. It just wasn't me. I liked my very short hair, but it was always the same...for college, then for going out..Couldn't ever do anything different with it.

Off to mums soon, she's having hers washed and finished whilst she watches mine being done. She had hers done the other day & it looks lovely! My sister also goes there, but her hair is like a long bob - not really our cup of tea & the hairdresser prefers my sisters longer too!!!

:( I can't grow my hair long! It grows extremely slowly, and never gets much below collar-length. At school, all the other girls had plaits they could sit on, and I would struggle to get enough for pigtails.

There are some bonuses though - I only get it cut about every three months, which is a huge saving! by coincidence, I'm off this afternoon to have mine highlighted.

I am going to sit and read 'Hello' Magazine, something I would never buy, and drink coffee while they pamper me. 8)

I hope you enjoy every minuite of it. A good haircut is always an instant confidence booster. I havent had mine done for about 18 months now, every time I go they just take off too much. My hair grows soooooooo slowly and I just cant bear to loose more than a little at a time. Every hairdresser I have ever been to just doesnt seem to get it.

Have a lovely time.
