Hello all,

 

Am a new chicken mummy to be - we collect our 4 new hens from the BHWT on the 23rd May and can't wait!

Still trying to decide on names for them and my other half is currently putting up a lovely house and run for them.

 

Hoping to meet lots of other chicken lovers on here and get any advice we may need, being new chicken owners!

We are both really looking forward to having them around - we know people with chickens and when i was younger i grew up with ducks and geese so know the commitment they are.

 

Will post an update once we have collected them.

Thanks again for the replies....only a couple of weeks left to go until we collect our ex-batts now and can't wait. House is nearly finished and it looks brilliant so will post pics when finished....bless my other half, he has been beavering away for ages on it!!

We've had our chickens for 3 weeks.....they're great!

 

Got most of my advice from asking lots of questions from this forum and reading loads of posts - this site is my bible for chicken keeping!
