The Dogmother
Just to let you all know that the Melton Show is on at the end of the month - Sunday 30th April and Monday 1st May. The Sunday is 'chicken day' when they have a massive marquee of breeders showing and in some cases selling their chooks. Details can be found on www.leicestershireshow.co.uk Tickets can be bought for £1 cheaper in advance over the phone. It is supposed to be a great agricultural and smallholder show; I plan to go on the Sunday (no, no more chooks, just to be nosey), so let me know if any of you fancy meeting up. The Dogmother
I did wonder whether you'd go or not, it being close to your time and all. Rosie is with her Dad that weekend, but Phil may come with me. Do you have my mobie number? I'll let you know if we are def going nearer the time, and you could give me a bell and meet at the cake tent.

The Dogmother
Good luck Mel! Let's hope that the weather is good for us all then - it has been fantastic here this afternoon after a cool start. Gina, you'll be in good hands if the baby starts - Kate used to be a nurse (hey, Kate, that's a great excuse to come - 'I must be there in case she goes into labour' ). I'm only a first aider of 30 years standing, but I've been at a birth and seen the 'business end' - not in the slightest squeamish either. Loads of hot towels and water..... The Dogmother
That'll be great . The only reason for not going will be v bad weather. Have you still got my moby number - can you remind me of yours? Sunday is chicken day and I undrestand that there's a whole tent of breeders showing their birds, plus ploughing exhibitions, old farm machinery and motorcycle displays. It'll be great to see you, mikey and the pup again.
Popcorn
Can we take our chooks on leads too? We might win a prize! I'm really holding out for Sunday. I'm struggling to walk long distances, so will need to keep the cake and tea tent within eye shot. Be super duper to see you too buffie, and will look forward to giving daisie a fuss
Guest
I'm quite jealous -there will be no birds (chickens or otherwise) at the Highland Show this year, because of Avian Flu fears.
buffie
I'll PM my numbers. We can make it in the morning leaving here say 10am I promised mikey some hiking (actually walking) this weekend, daisie really needs her activity now, so if we can catch up with you see chooks have a natter then we'll shoot off and do some walking with daisie all will be happy in the world of Buff!! Can't wait hope it's ok weather????? BBxx
Mrs Frugal
If the weather's OK I think we're coming but if it looks like rain, LSH won't want to leave the house!! Might see you all there.
