Uh Oh...[Questions]

Recommended Posts

Sorry to bump this but I'm in a state of shock...

My dad said YES!!!

WOOOPP!!!

There is a catch though, I have to wait until the kitchen extension has finished and my parents haven't even decided what it'll look like yet!

They said next year or at the end of this one if I'm lucky, so I' going to ask for an eglu and chickens for my birthday (Which is in November)

I can't believe it!

WOOP!

sorry.x

Ah bless, congratulations - it'll be well worth the wait & meanwhile you can do so much research :) & visit lots of other eglu peeps so you're a professional by the time yours arrive!

not sure where you are but if your anywhere near Kent, you& your parents are more than welcome anytime.

Thank you everyone and thanks for the offer of coming to see your chickens but I think we live a bit to far from Kent

I've got a question now actually...

We've got a pretty big garden (1 acre- I think)

but none of it's fenced up properly apart from hedges and a bit the neighbour did.

Would it be fair on the chickens if we just left them in the run and if we let them out when we were in the garden, would they wander far?

teee heee you'd need some chicken wire, ours wander all around the garden but before we got our chicken wire, they wandered over to next doors too, doesn't matter how big the garden is it will never be big enough for the chickens they will wander every corner!!

Do look up some chicken peeps closer to you, think there's a section called visit an eglu, take your parents & show them how practical the omlet coups are.

Great news about getting your chickens and a fantastic birthday present to look forward to. How eggciting, the time will fly by and then you'll have something to crow about :D:D

Now, about that kitchen extension - how good are you at planning kitchens?

I couldn't quite belive it, he read the catalogue and told me it was all very cute and he had fallen in love  . I'm swaying towards a purple or red eglu and I've already decided were I'd like to keep the chickens (This is me getting excited!) so far I've done loads of chores without being asked (When my mum usually has to nag me to do them :P )

and I've already chosen names...

I'm getting a bit obsessed!

hehe, good idea.

Dad and I were sorting out where we were going to put them earlier, I think he's getting even more excited now!

EDIT: Sorry, another question:

How long does it take for an eglu with chickens to be delivered?
