Mrs Blue Sky
Here's a top tip - when you're washing your veg, a bit of vinegar in the water will help any little "passengers" to let go.
Popcorn
I would like to blow my own trumpet but it was Gina who gave me the website: Weeeeeeeeeell....I have to pass the credit on here. It was, after-all, Superkate who gave it to me when I first joined....

Lesley-Jean
Here's a top tip - when you're washing your veg, a bit of vinegar in the water will help any little "passengers" to let go. And if your veg is not organic (perish the thought) the vinegar will also help to remove any pesticide residues. (I worked in residue analysis at Shell for 2 years). Mrs Blue Sky
Yes, any old vinegar will do it. Just a splash in a bowl. You won't taste it in the food. I'm impressed to learn that it can help to remove pesticide residues!
Hellcat
Top tip! We grow a lot and we always end up with extra protein, so this is great!

clare*
Talking of salt and Vinegar, I've just been reading how you can use one or the other to kill weeds. Sprinkle salt in the middle of say a dandelion and it will get rid of it. You can do the same with vinegar apparently as well. I'm off to try it

Linda
My mum uses salt to kill weeds and grass. She was advised to use it by a farmer friend and finds it works very well. More environmentally friendly and much cheaper than weedkiller!
