No more guineas! (Er.......what have I done?)

Recommended Posts

When our last guinea pig died a couple of winters ago, I decided that it would be the end of our guinea keepings days, having started about 20 years ago. Definitely. I would resist temptation whenever I saw any.

However, Esther has been so ill, for several weeks, that I somehow found myself persuaded when she asked about having a guinea pig!

On Friday I ordered a purple Guinlu, hopefully coming this Friday.

Then today I traced the last 2 available young females for sale in the area & have brought them home.

Esther & I are delighted, they are so lovely. Can't wait for Guinlu to arrive (they are in the winter accomodation which I had luckily  kept.)

Wonder what LSH will say....:lol::lol::lol:

Brilliant news Shelia :D:D:D

Have you got names for them yet and can we see some photos?

I love little GPs and am desperate for some myself, the OH keeps saying 'no' but i may just take a leaf out of your book!:lol::lol:

I might even tell him you persuaded me to do it!

Can you do the "What?...them?....we've had them ages routine"?

 Well, possibly I could have done. Except because Esther is so poorly they are living in the sitting room to amuse her, until their Guinlu arrives on Friday.

She told OH about the Guinlu today, I had planned to keep quiet & see if he noticed. For some reason he now thinks I ordered it because of my love of Eglus, not just for Esther's sake....:lol:

Thank you all for your good wishes & for sharing my enthusiasm. They are still small, sqeaky & adorable.

Pip (or Zippo) & Squeak (Dandelion). They are proving to be a great tonic for Esther, I'm really pleased.
