Egluntyne
At least it wasn't 4.30 am.
Christian
Sounds just like my Laverne when she is laying (hasn't for 6 weeks ) or when she wants to lay, or when someone else is laying
redhotchick
Oh my goodness! A lot of noise from a little creature!
lisaroo2
Yup, I can relate to that! Maisie did exactly the same thing last week when Rosie laid her first egg, great isn't it! Funny, but I don't remember Rosie making such a racket when Maisie laid hers...
surferdog
That's the racket all three of mine were making Sunday morning when we put the parasol up!
Phosphorus
Brilliant - hope Alice does that when she lays. Roast is quiet as a mouse - I don't know if she has laid other than checking the nesting box
chickencam
Very familiar, Bertha is slightly less tuneful though
Gamebird
Oh wonderful Isn't that the most fantastic noise what she is actually saying is: "Rise and shine, this is your early morning alarm call. I've just laid an egg - can you do that?"
Cooks
that's brilliant, it just had my oldest son in stitches she's got a voice on her her
Ain't Nobody Here
I've just laid an egg - can you do that?" I wouldn't mind, but it wasn't even Maisie's egg . It was Milly laying while that racket was going on .
Phosphorus
I wouldn't mind, but it wasn't even Maisie's egg . It was Milly laying while that racket was going on . Now that is real teamwork
superjules
Bless them - maybe they felt she needed a few words of encouragement! Your clip had my Springer, Jasper, running to the back door to check on our own chooks as bokking sometimes means he has an opportunity to chase something livlier than a ball!! Bless him! redfrock
glad it isn't just mine then they really start barber-shopping (all 10 of them) when one of the others has laid - Bron and Carmen are the worst, althoug Clementine is fast catching on . I keep waiting for the neighbours to say something. I still think it is a fab sound - although it is nearer their bedroom window then it is mine ..... I think it is fab how you caught it on camera
frenchlayer
Thats great. I was beginning to think I was going daft, because it doesnt seem to be the one which is laying which makes the noise but the one of the others, now I know it's not just mine. cluckbok
Very funny, I love towards the end of the clip she gets quieter! That's just what our speckledy does, although she lays fantom eggs!!! Only laid twice since we had her, only had her since beg March but some more eggs would be nice. She's all talk and no go!!
