How gorgeous! We're just discussing getting some eggs from a friend as we have a broody hen at the minute, we'd eat the boys (sorry!) and keep the girls for eggs, got to do a load more reading up first though. Better be quick in case she snaps out of it (which won't be soon knowing her  ) Most of the info seems to be about hatching in an incubator so off to trawl through for hatching with a hen.

they are absolutely gorgeous and not to be disrespectful toward you in any way at all...... I could never ever eat them when I had them from that size I have a very hard time as it is disassociating the ones I buy to eat and the ones in our garden as it is...I would'nt buy any kind of chicken, for a month after I got my girls, but everyone complained violently about it...so I swallowed my pride and everything else and went out and bought some chicken, I find it a little easier now, lol having the 1st 12 eggs was the same...I could'nt eat them I was afraid they would not lay anymore if I ate them all...... I'm a bit of a ditz ya know....lol anyways good luck with your birds
