Trapper
Why is that every year my wife wants to watch this rubbish. We've got sky with 100's of channels and she wants to watch 25 awful songs. Who's gonna win, I couldn't care less.
Christian
Not that I ever watch it but, I like Israel, Sweden and Denmark so far! Portugal was good too. I bet Andrew isn't watching. He isn't a big fan

Guest
I liked Israel, Finland, Croatia, Iceland, Latvia and Georgia. I'm going to vote for Latvia because it was such fun as well as being a reasonable song (the pirates!). Georgia deserves something too for managing to put such a good message in its song. Jules.
I've missed it- hubby watched it. I've been sorting out temporary chicken accomadation in my little shed, reading bed-time stories (Doctor Who magazine ) to a littlie, folding mounds of hoilday washing, uploading pictures to Flickr and been on here
Christian
I missed Georgia! What was the message Ginette?
lisaroo2
Hubbie-to-be has been watching it. I've sat typing my wedding diary on my laptop, occasionally raising my head above the screen to groan at another cheesy-absolutely-no-chance-of-winning entry
Guest
I found it on YouTube, but I haven't found the lyrics yet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULWd5jgZ8rs&feature=related essentially it's 'Peace will come' along the lines of children with guns is wrong, fighting, refugees etc - something has to change. the singer herself grew up in a refugee camp and is blind. Helly Welly
Georgia was my favourite too! Notice we have nul point, as per usual. And we can't even rely on Ireland to vote for us this year
Guest
here are the lyrics: Peace Will Come Look the sky is crying cold bitter tears Weeping for the people lost in fear While we fight for nothing my eyes run dry Are you still so blind to ask me why...why Say it out loud peace will come Everybody shout peace will come When you stop and tame your rage Something's gotta change Something's gotta change Say it out loud peace will come Everybody shout peace will come Blow the trumpet beat the drum Peace will come Sometimes words kill faster than bullets do And the face of war is never true Kids with guns are always too young to die Are you still so deaf to ask me why...why My land is still crying Torn in half My world is slowly dying My heart is only crying Peace and love

McChook
Have to say, the funniest lyric of the night was from Bosnia & Herzegovina 'we wasted countless days lying on our backs eating bananas' I don't care who wins - Terry Wogan's sarcastic commentary is worth tuning in for! He gets better every year

Helly Welly
I love the stupid songs, there weren't enough of them this year. The one with the woman hanging the washing was good, and i liked the French entry, it was just weird

Omletina Kyckling
The Bosnian entry with the washing line (which I thought was great) had a live cockerel on stage during their national contest. He carried it on under his arm and then it just wandered around the stage! They didn't allow it for this one as live animals are not allowed (thank goodness) I thought Terry was hilarious as ever.
