Steph101
My husband did a quick watercolour of our beloved George. (See photobucket link below). He usually does landscapes, and knocked this up in half an hour! What do you think? Steph.
Gallina
That's lovely. How did he get the model to stay still? How big is it? Will you frame it? I am sure there is a market for this kind of painting, and if it only takes half an hour you could be millionaires. It would make a great avatar. You are never going to catch that turkey. Steph101
That's lovely. How did he get the model to stay still? How big is it? Will you frame it? Thank you; he'll be really pleased with your comments. He took a photo first! It's an A4 size. I keep nagging him to do more paintings, and to try to get recognition, but he doesn't think he's good enough, and tears most of them up shortly after they've dried. Weird, eh? Guest
my mum and I have both had watercolour lessons and believe me, it's not easy as you might think! I am very impressed with your husband's work, I doubt I'd ever manage anything that good. I wonder what he could produce given more than half an hour! Just one slight criticism, he needs to rub out his pencil marks
Gamebird
It's a really good picture. I love the facial expression. If it only took him half an hour to produce such a good painting then he could make a fortune.
ubereglu
That's good. A nice free use of paint. I also paint chickens, (when I have time) and my avatar is of a painting I did at Christmas.

Olly
That's brilliant - really captures that beady-eyed 'are you looking at me?' expression. I think he should do a lot more. I'd buy something like that!

millymeerkat
Wow, thanks everyone! I love painting and drawing and it's great to hear people like what I've done. This morning I have been doing a drawing of my three dogs, two of which have passed away. One of them had to be put to sleep only a couple of weeks ago. It's quite theraputic drawing them as pups and remembering the good times. To everyone who draws and paints themselves, it'd be great to see more work! Thanks again! x
