In the new (July) issue of Good Housekeeping there is a nice article about a lady called Christine who keeps hens in an Eglu in her garden, & she mentions that she is on the forum nearly every day, & has got together with other forum members 8)

So, who is it then?

Hi - yes - it's me! :oops::D

Sorry: just been so busy that I haven't been here every day recently, despite what it says! It is quite nice what they've said in general though. All a bit strange really, as I chatted to the journalist for ages and had just no idea what she'd print!

Unfortunately they didn't print my website address, though they said they would :( . If you look there I've linked a copy of the article on the 'news' page (copywrite or no copywrite!)

And I haven't dyed my hair Claret - it's just the front bit that's grey :wink:

That's Lily and Lottie on my lap, by the way, and the tiny blob of red under Lily's bottom is the edge of Maisy's comb!

Great that eglus and chickens are in 'Good Housekeeping' My M-I-L gets that and i'm sure she thinks i'm mad keeping chickens. But - if its in Good Housekeeping then it must be an ok hobby :roll: - i'll suddenly go up in her esteem!

(i am not good at house keeping and never intend to be... :wink: I have better things to do with my time and she doesn't like that either!)

... it flopped open at the interview about you Kannie! :lol::lol::lol:

Yes - handy that - I'm opposite the free shampoo sachets!

I don't usually read GH either: I did as a teenager, as my mum always took it. I just got to be in there as the PR person at Goldsmiths' Hall saw an article in a previous issue about women who'd done career changes, and she thought I might get into a future career changing feature.

When she spoke to them they fitted me into a 'hobbies' feature instead! Hence it's more about chickens than jewellery! Never mind - in some ways I feel more comfortable about the chicken focus, as I'm still fairly new as a jeweller!
