Phonix
Woah eglutine thats scary! I've never seen a fox and im not sure what id do if i did (scream probably ) BUT i think id have a heart attack if i looked out of my window and saw that. I think I prefer just watching them on Wildlife SOS where they look pretty and aren't terrorising anyone (or any chooks)! (sorry but i do think they are pretty looking) x
Ain't Nobody Here
That would actually be really sweet (if they didn't kill our girlies ).
Egluntyne
They are indeed beautiful creatures, but.............
Tiggy
I love watching the cubs play but my girls wouldn't agree
Ziggy
It's a lovely picture... Mr Fox chilling out... You'd think he's about to order a cocktail!!!! Not sure about what the article said about them being very confident around humans though... The ones I've seen in my garden scamper off real fast at the slightest sound of a human... I know there have been foxes walking past people sitting in their garden, so maybe some are bolder around humans... mine run for their life if they see or hear me even from far... chelsea
That would actually be really sweet (if they didn't kill our girlies ). I agree, I do feel for foxes living in urban cities though, doesnt seem quite right somehow when we have lovely countryside down here for foxes to roam in, also not being bothered by modern lifestyle/man etc.
Helly Welly
Before we got chickens, we regularly had foxes having a kip at the bottom of the garden. Thankfully, we've only seen one since we got chooks.
crazygal
That would make a scary picture if there was an eglu right next to it A fox chased my parents' cat right up to their back door the other week- their cat charged in through the catflap at a hundred miles an hour, they opened the back door to see why and were confronted by a fox which promptly turned and ran off. (they haven't got chickens by the way)
Olly
That's a picture, but I wouldn't fancy using the sun-lounger after Mr Fox had been chillin' on it! They don't half pen-and-ink!

Cooks
blimey, if I went out and saw one lounging on my sun lounger I would lay an egg myself I think!
Charlottechicken
I do feel for foxes living in urban cities though, doesnt seem quite right somehow when we have lovely countryside down here for foxes to roam in, also not being bothered by modern lifestyle/man etc. There's rich pickings to be had for any wild animal in towns and cities (humans are such dirty creatures ), as well as ready made hiding places and the odd pet rabbit or chicken if they fancy a quick kill . In Birmingham I have seen fox tracks alongside the railway lines in the snow on a winters morning. A few years ago I passed one in my road as I went to catch the train, at about 7 am, he was just coming out of a neighbours side entry and wasn't bothered by me at all. I hasten to add that I haven't seen a fox around here for at least 6 or 7 years, and hope never to see one again now I have chickens. Seagazer
We often have them here, usually you just hear them screaming at night though. I haven't seen one in the garden since I've had the girls yet I've seen their poo in the garden. A couple of weeks ago a lady pointed out to me a baby fox laying curled up as if asleep on a bit of grass next to a road but on looking closer we realised it was dead, so sad. I wouldn't be keen on them getting close to my girls though.
Stevie
I know for sure theres a foxes den under someones shed nearby. How do i know? Theres a gap under the fence with worn smooth soil beneath and when i walk past-i can detect their unique obnoxious smell. We humans are to blame for suburban foxes because they live on our waste.
