The Managing Director
So the CA's long term ambition is to teach Flint agility and whilst he is too young yet she is allowed to try and teach him the basics, today she set up some little jumps with plant pots and canes and trotted him towards them full of enthusiasm.... only for him to get to the jump reach down and carry the cane off in his mouth So comic , my first reaction was of course to reach for the camera but sadly too slow
Mrs Frugal
Oh bless! I'm sure with persistence and determination, the CA will soon have Flint well trained!!
motherhen
What a shame Flint responded to her enthusiasm in such an irritating (ok amusing) way I hope it hasn't put her off. I'm not a dog trainer, but when I've worked with young ponies, we used to start them off jumping by getting them to walk, then trot and canter over a nice thick pole lying on the ground, before starting them on poles lifted off the ground. Do you have any old planks or something similar she could use?
The Managing Director
What a shame Flint responded to her enthusiasm in such an irritating (ok amusing) way I hope it hasn't put her off. after I'd stopped laughing (and put the camera down) we managed to create some slightly more solid jumps from crates and he was actually quite obliging, bless him. She had him hopping over crates on command (was my command mind you ) most importantly we maintained a strong presence in the garden at the foxing hour tomorrow we are now commited to building jumps and weaving poles the junior assistant has I think ambitions to teach our remaining cat agility but that was firmly vetoed, don't want him to leave home too

Yup I am an expert at dog agility..................... We have a great time with our woggles, but Maxhen is the expert - her 3 hounds are fabulous and she spends a lot ot time with them (and the amount of rosettes / trophies / prizes she has goes to show this! I am sure she'll be around soon and give some great advice. My only advice is to have fun
