bronze
Out of interest how have cashiers reacted to them?
Lesley
As they are see-through, they shouldn't have a problem....... I will be using mine at the Farm Shop where they usually have paper bags anyway so I shouldn't think they will bother. We have so much in the garden at the moment so it may be some time before we try them out.
Cinnamon
I love my Onya bag & use it a lot. It looks very habging from my Kipling bag too
Ange1
How easy are they to stuff back into their little pouches and how creased are they when they come out again? I'm tempted, at the moment I carry a natural cotton bag, folded in my small handbag, people in shops are always suprised when I say 'it;s okay I've got a bag' and then I magically porduce a largish bag! Certainly these Onya bags would take up even less space in my handbag (kipling) but was just wondering about creasing?
Guest
that's exactly what I do Ange1. Onya bags are made of parachute fabric - hence their strength and lightness - so no worries about creasing. I find them surprisingly easy to stuff into their miniscule pouches.
Ange1
Great news Ginette! I'm off to order one for me and some 'stocking fillers' for family for 'Twismas!
The Dogmother
I've got a similar brightly coloured shopping bag in a pouch that I got from Claire's for £2.99, but I shall insoect lesley's Onya goodies, especially the wrap - Rosie could do with those for her school lunches. Christian
My onya weigh bags arrived a couple of days ago and I am really pleased I also ordered an onya side and they sent me an onya back by mistake. A quick call to customer services and they told me to keep the back pack and they would send me a new side bag Very impressed and will be ordering more for Christmas
Ange1
Good result Christian! I like it when you get to keep the 'error', I'm sure the onya back will be useful too! I'm struggling to know what colour to order, i like them all Trying to think which would look best year round, not too summery but not too drab oh choices, choices! The Dogmother
Ahhh, but they do a manly messenger style man-bag!
Ange1
Thanks for the link for Trolley-Dolly Clare. Could anyone else see where to click to see the full range and colours? I could see the three at the bottom, black with whitw spots, a beige and blue one and one other, but I couldn't see where to click to view the black manly one or indeed the pink one that Zoe was demonstrating with! The Dogmother
I couldn't see that either Angel, but I guess that an email or call to them might shed some light. Not that i'd be rushing into buying a pink one, but I think the idea is very clever.
Ange1
Agree Clare, great idea, not sure whether boyfriend would be seen with me in the supermarket with the pink one! Maybe he might have a problem with the spotty ones, which is why I was wondering about the manly black one! Hmm methinks a quick email to them asking for a photo I'll post a photo if they send me one!
Fizzle Knit
I have an onya back which I bought from Fenwicks in Leicester. Because it's so small and light I actually succeed in keeping it in my handbag and using it when needed, which tends not to happen with the cotton totes I have. Will have look at the website - hadn't realised they do lots of other things, so thanks for the link.
LesleyH
has anyone got the onya weigh bags? I was wondering how small the pouch actually is...same for the onya bag - any ideas? I am very tempted!
AmandaR
The pouch for the Onya Weigh is the same as the standard bag at around 8cm W and 10cm H. The mesh weighing bags inside are a good size too at approx. 30cm W, 25 H. Hope this helps.
LesleyH
It does...I am sorely tempted but a bit skint. I am teetering on the edge!
