peck-a-blocks

Recommended Posts

I have had one since March with four chickens, and they have just finished it off. It does depend on the weather though ... when it rains, it softens and they scoff it up! when it's dry it's a bit harder and they don't peck at it so much.

I'd guess at more than a week ... but someone else has probably got a different experience.

ohhh *adds to list*

My children seem to keep the girls entertained but when we are away I am worried the girls won't have 'kid TV' and so want to give them things to keep them occupied.

I have already pursuaded the husband to come home a day early and I am working on leaving a day later so I don;t have to leave them for so long

I have 6 chickens and it lasts no more than two days with mine. I get the wild birdseed bells from pets at home.

Just shows the difference in chickens I suppose!!

Are the bells the same seeds do you know, and do they last any length??

Not sure ....the ones I buy are mixed grain, millet, peanuts, sunflower seeds bound together with honey.

I think we are talking about very different products here - pet at home ones are tiny for caged birds

 Just picturing a few budgies in the run. Looks like it's peck-a-blocks for holiday fun. I thought they must be quite big for the price and postage. Thanks again for all the advice.

Just though I'd add to this to reassure you (I hope)

Got mine yesterday morning. I have six birds -2 very greedy ones! and thay have barely dented it. :D

Troy

Many thanks. Did you buy them from the link above "flytes of fancy?"

I've already spent so much this morning buying a run converter and foolishly added on extras while the P&P stayed at the same rate. I'm justifying it on welfare grounds

A week's holiday? duh ...I think I'll move into the run and the chickens can go off to the seaside!

Look back at my previous post Debbie - its worth shopping around as the P&P can be very high on them,
