It was Ian's last day at work today (he's been made redundant after 20 years with the same company!). He's let me treat myself with a little bit of his redundancy payout.

 

I don't normally spend a lot on clothes but I ordered everything I wanted from this season's LTS catalogue and boy did it feel good! How the other half live!!!! Must be great to go out and get what you want, when you want it. Anyway, I bought

 

a reversible gilet

Loved the shopping spree !! Hope your OH enjoys some R&R before anything else comes along. 20 years is a long time to be with one company - I'm sure it will feel a little odd to begin with but I'm sure he'll get used to it !! Good luck with the pipeline!

A friend of mine was upset last year, having been made redundant after 17 years with one company. Now she has a great new job and wishes she had moved sooner.

thanks everyone, for the good wishes about Ian's job. I helped him write his CV with some guidance from my sister (who does it for a living) and although it's not in verse, it's pretty impressive! I'd give him a job

 

I can't believe he put his mum's phone number in as a contact number though, some boys never grow up! Good job I proof read it!

I didn't know you were tall. I shop in LTS, sometimes as I find it rather expensive! I'm 5ft11" how tall are you?!
