BeckyBoo
Sooooo excited, for the last couple of years we have hosted children from Belarus for a month at a time in the summer but this year we ewren't able to do it and I felt terribly guilty about letting the two girls down. They still came over and have been staying with someone else then last week the lady they were staying with said they wanted to see us. Sooooo, after much negotiating with work I have wangled a day off and am taking my three plus the two who would have stayed with us to Bocketts farm in Leatherhead for the day. It's supposed to chuck it down with rain, I'm not finishing work til 1am and as it's been at such short notice am having to nip to the local 24 hr supermarket to buy food to feed 5 hungry children at the end of the day and I've to be up, all breakfasted and dressed and at Leatherhead (about 40 minute drive) by 10am!! My eldest will think it's the middle of the night when I prise her from her pit with a crowbar at the hideous hour of 7am!! Mrs B
Angels4
Good for you Mrs. B I'm sure you will have a wonderful time. I remember how wrecked with guilt you were for not being able to have the girls come to stay with you. Even with the rain I'm sure it will be a sunshine, fun filled day. Just refer to the rain as "liqued sunshine". Enjoy your time.

BeckyBoo
Hi everyone, it went really well. Dziana hasn't really grown much in two years, she's still wearing the Primark £4 jacket I bought her two years ago - it's like new We went to Bocketts farm then they came home to have tea with us - I forgot how tired they can get, Dziana was exhausted by 3pm. Eventually took them home about 8ish, they've asked us if we'll go to their leaving party tonight which I wasn't going to go to but as she's asked us we will. She and her sister have both had to have 4 fillings whilst they were here, one little girls teeth are so bad the dentist has apparently said he can't start any work on them as they will all fall out Dziana on a horse... Vika on a horse... All on a tractor and trailer ride... I know I couldn't have done it this year as yesterday cost me £50 getting my three and me in through the gate, pny rides for 5 and trailer rides for 6 then you can't say "no you can't have an ice cream" although I didn't visit the shop when I really did want to get them a momento as I just couldn't have bought stuff for 5 children as well at a minimum of £5 each. So I was very sad wishing and wishing that we could have had them but it was really rally lovely to see them and I feel so much better knowing they don't hate me or aren't angry that we didn't have them. They're such nice children, really quiet and gentle (not like my three hooligans!) Anyway, supposed to be taking the dog out with my three for a long walk and picnic now so off to make jam sandwiches - in the severe weather warning Mrs Bertie
Ain't Nobody Here
Sounds like a lovely day and one they'll remember . I can't believe you thought they'd hate you for not having them to stay . It sounds like they're very fond of you and obviously have happy memories or they wouldn't have been so keen to see you! You've done a lovely, selfless thing having them in the past and making time for them now, even though it's not easy (or cheap!).
MedusA
Glad you had a lovely day with the girls, Mrs. B. I'm sure they appreciated seeing you or they wouldn't have invited you to their party, would they? They seem like sweet girls.
