I know that there is a credibility issue with keeping John in Strictly but I really cannot understand how Laura and Ruth were in the bottom two. IMO Laura was one of the strongest contestants and should not be out of the competition at this stage. Just an opinion I know! Does anyone on here actually vote? I confess that I don't. Diana...for whom I have no time at all has a free ticket to next weeks show, whereas Ruth, who was ill a fortnight ago did a proper "the show must go on" routine and competed. Not fair at all. The only reason he would have done that is tatically, as Laura was a threat - he's just ruined her chances of fulfilling her dream and winning the show. Ruth gave it her all and I must admit, I thought she was fabulous. Laura just seemed to go to pieces and massacred her song Such a shame as she has the talent. Ruth looked stunned and kept apologising to Laura. Hopefully someone will snap her up and mentor her properly and get her recording songs that suit her. I'm not her biggest fan but I think the producers did the right thing in letting her go through. The poor girl even missed meeting Mariah. I said to my hubby after Rachel sang so badly and they were so yuckily nice to her that Simon has defintely got an agenda as to who he wants to go through. I think he and Louis want JLS, Rachel, Alexandra and possibly Eoghan. I think Daniel sang ok but there is nothing really special about his voice. MedusA Posted November 9, 2008 Share Posted November 9, 2008 DD and I are very disappointed that Laura went when much worse singers (Rachel, Daniel and Eoghan to name but three) are still getting through. I hope Laura gets a break in the singing world. She has a fantastic voice, and didn't deserve to leave yet. Ruth also sang a blinding "bottom two" song. I do understand that Diana didn't sing on medical advice. She's a young girl and her throat could have been irreperably damaged. It was right that she was allowed a "free week" IMHO.
