Results Day

Recommended Posts

Hello and congratulations to the many usernames I am starting to recognise here.:clap::clap:

I have been at school all day dealing with results. We are so proud of YS as he has done brilliantly well. 4A*, 4A and 1B which was one off an A - nevermind maybe a remark?? Its hard for me to believe as at some points I thought he might neVer make it but suddenly he got his act together-WOW!!!!! Off to buy a suit now! :D

Felt sorry for "the Brat" 9 subjects, 9 B's, she's a bit disappointed. She only needed 5 B's or higher to get into her current school's sixth form which was what she really wanted, so it's not all bad !!!!.

9 Bs is very very good in my opinion. It shows consistency across the board. I would hate to get to a situation where anything below an A is deemed a virtual fail! I'm sure you'll make a big fuss of your 16 yr old. She/he certainly deserves it!

My neice did very well also all A*, A's , b's and one token C which was maths and she doesn't like maths.

The rest were languages, sciences, englishes (lit and language I think) and photography, I got all of a dither I forgot!

So proud of her, I wish I had managed that! I spent almost all my secondary school life telling them I dont understand... to be told, you have the same info as the rest get on with it... well I did and didn't get good grades.

Still, it set me in good stead for when my OS started secondary school, we moved to this village so he could go to a better school that was achieving well and had a great pupil support structure in place.

Once again well done everyone.

So come on you lot. What are you going to do now with these fab results?

My 17 year old nephew has just been accepted into the fire service. He can start in January when he turns 18.

Where's Clare? She usually comes running at the mention of firemen....
