craftyhunnypie
It's a money pot that you fill & have to smash to get the money out. There is no bung. They are quite expensive on ebay, anyone know where I can buy one for less than £15? Emma.x
kitbag
sorry, i don't know where you can get one for under £15 pounds, but i do know that they are great fun to break!! Last year, we used ours as a 'holiday fund' thing. Every time any of us got a £2 coin, we put it in the terramundi, and then that was our holiday money for spending!! We ended up saving quite a lot in the end! Yay! Kitbag xxx
Chili
We have one But it's taking soooooo long to fill. We bought ours from our local garden centre - Dobbies. It was more than £15 though, nearer £18 I think. We put all the money that we get from selling our eggs into ours
Sunshine
I have one(me and my closest friends each got each other one for our 16th birthday-im now 19) but i havn't put anything in it yet because i don't want to smash it. I think i would need to get one that i didn't love the pattern on and that fitted in with my bedroom decoration so well. It said on a tag that came with mine that you could collect up to £200 when it was full of silver. Mine was from an independent shop in my town. I did see some in Clintions cards though with sister/friend/shoe fund written on them for £7. I didn't see if they had a plug on though sorry. Hope you find one soon. craftyhunnypie
Aha! I presume Bridgemere garden world or Stapeley might have one. I'll look in Clintons too. I've seen them somewhere for £9.99, but cant remember where it was. I think I'll buy a couple for Xmas prezzies too. Emma.x

Karen & co.
Emma, they had them in Grapevine in Nantwich last time I was in there, and I got one for a friend when I was looking around in the garden center between Tarporley and Sandiway, I think it's called Wyvale? it used to be Jardiniere I think it was about £16. Couperwife
erm, i know this sounds silly, but what about making one with papier mache (probably spelt wrong, but hey ) using a balloon (remember doing that at school ) you wouldnt worry about breaking it. worth a thought? cathy x
Guest
When I was a child we had Piggy Banks. And they didn't have a bung in the bottom, so the only option is to smash them.

Same here Ginette. I learned how to slide a bit of the change out of them by using a table knife. Only the sixpences would come out easily I remember. Cinnamon
I was looking at these in Reading yesterday as gifts for a couple of children - they were the same thing, but piggy shaped,so more like a piggy bank All my egg money goes into a massive solid cast iron saddleback pig piggy bank by my front door. Its a real talking point & is so heavy (not with money!) that no one in the house can lift it apart from the hubby

mrsallen08
We have a VW camper. It does have a bung so we dont have to smash it! We fill it with 'shrapnel' 1p 2p 5p and it soon fills up! If anyone is in Derbyshire, Ginger in Belper sells the terramundi pots for £9, they are in the sale atm!

Emma.x I have one and you dont have to smash it to empty it - use a large screwdriver in the slot and lever the top of like a boiled egg top!! Then you can glue it back together or not as the case may be - you can still use it as a money box or you can use the bottom bit as container for flower pots. I have had mine for years and just keep filling it but can take out as well as put in
Guest
Oh come on. Dont tell me you havent got into your money pots with a knife. I still have my piggy bank - and it is empty! I was a dab hand at getting the money out with a knife, even as a child! I could never smash it.
