chocchick
The cast have been in some really good programmes before. Amanda and Caroline Bingley were the main characters in Hex and play well off each other. I thought the 3rd episode was the best, I found it really funny. I liked the bit with Mr Collins and the peacock, and Darcy in the lake.
MedusA
I agree, you can't beat a "wet Darcy" scene. I absolutely love this show. It's put a real twist on the story, without sullying the original. My DD would love the fact that Wickham is an honourable man and protecting Darcy from knowing the truth about Georgiana, as she's always had a soft spot for him. The Mr.Collins character is truly slimy. No wonder poor Jane shudders whenever he is near. I love the idea of the upright Mr. Bingley turning into a drunkard. Also that Darcy loves Amanda, but can't have anything to do with her because of her "immoral" past! "Are the shades of Pemberley to be thus polluted?" Can't help wishing it all turns out right in the end though. I'm a purist at heart.
chocchick
..........and what is Elizabeth doing? Is she still just playing with a lightswitch or is she causing chaos somewhere?!
WitchHazel
I love this. I watched it because the plot line reminded me of Jasper Fforde's wonderful "Thursday Next" books. This week's episode was wonderful. The Darcy in the lake scene made me laugh out loud, and I loved the clever eay the writers changed the story (like Wickham, Caroline Bingley etc) without changing the story. I have hopes for a happy ending with Jane and Bingley, as she is unsullied by Mr Collins due to his period of abstention. I have to say, I was assuming he must have some STD that is making him abstain! nd Alex Kingston is turning out to be a wonderful Mrs Bennett. She's got the Jane Austen Mrs B down well, and the other side to her that we've been seeing is just fantastic.
stoice
Maybe we'll see Lizzie's life in Amanda's world too? (Like chocchick says, I doubt she's still in the bathroom)
Omletina Kyckling
The last part is on now and it's superb!!!
Egluntyne
Absolutely wonderful. Loved everything about it. I hope a DVD comes out in time for Christmas.

Chooks Aloud
I fell asleep during it - how annoying is that. Can anybody tell me what happened. I saw up to the bit where she came back and found Elizabeth Bennett and Darcy followed her to London. What happened next? I've watched this all through - typical me to fall asleep at the end! Egluntyne
You should be able to watch it again on ITV Catchup. **Here**
Omletina Kyckling
I thought it was wonderful and loved the ending.....I suspect they've left it a bit open so that they could always do another series and follow the story on? jomaxsmith
Loved loved loved it last night! I haven't enjoyed a programme so much in years. I am so glad she defrosted Darcy and that it didn't mean Elizabeth had to miss out. I loved the Austen characters in London - really made me chuckle, and the way Amanda was still talking 'Austen' even when she was back in modern times! I would love another series, but in the same way it was perfect just the way it was. Only gripe is that I missed the 'making of' programme as I watched the show on sky+ and didn't record the extra programme Jo
Egluntyne
You can probably get that on ITV Catchup too.
Cinnamon
Only gripe is that I missed the 'making of' programme as I watched the show on sky+ and didn't record the extra programme Yes,I was annoyed that my series link didn't seem to pick that up, so will check out repeats later on too. It was a super series, wasn't it? I am so glad that so many of you also enjoyed it I do hope they do a follow up to it now................. Egluntyne
I watched it last night. It makes you see it all with new eyes. Excellent. Watch it **here**. You've got 28 days.
dancing cloud
I had to avoid this topic yesterday as I'd recorded the last episode and not watched it till last night. Wasn't it great? I'd read the blurb in the tv paper and not been convinced I wanted to watch the series at all and was so glad I did (and I always love a happy ending!) So where could they go next? Sense and Sensibility would definitely lend itself - and there could be two people swapped instead of just one. Twice the potential for mayhem Or may be send a sensible modern woman to Northanger Abbey?
Cate in NZ
It is out on the 29th September, Egluntine. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lost-Austen-Tom-Riley/dp/B0014T7ETQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1222314075&sr=8-1 Yay, I can watch it after all . Cinnamon- I tried to watch something on demand 5 but it showed the adverts but never played the actual programme. Not sure why and stll havn't figured out how to play the programme. Cate in NZ
I just tried to get it on the ITV catch up link, loaded the site and it all looked really promising, but then when I pressed "play" on the video I just got a little message kindly informing me that I had to be in the UK to watch it . I wanted to see if little sis was featured in the "making of" show...oh well, more waiting for the DVD
