What did we all look like on our wedding days?

 

I'm now off to find a photo and will creep round hubby to scan it.

He are Brian & I on our wedding day,20 years ago.

 

Obviously,it was an '80's wedding,which explains the rather large hair & the frothy frock

Oooh that's lovely!

Now then, wedding dress, which one? Ha ha! First time looked like the proverbial loo roll cover, second time, same church, divorced, 6 months pregnant walking up the same aisle as the first time! (tolerant vicar) I wore a gold dress, red velvet floor length coat and red velvet shoes!

(even the shoes don't fit any more )

Mind you, I wore a Tigger hat to walk back from the church to the pub for the reception, OH wore a blue velvet stars and moon top hat and then I wore my dirty brown Cat boots with my dress to walk over to the fireworks on the green. It was the best night ever

My problem was that I was really too tall for my dress so I couldn't put the hoop bit in or the hem was about three inches above my ankles! In hindsight - I am quite relieved that I didn't have the hoop bit!!

mine was only 2 years ago (but we've been together since 1990)

we got married in an art deco hotel (actually the old speke airport in liverpool) so we themed it around that era

My problem was that I was really too tall for my dress so I couldn't put the hoop bit in or the hem was about three inches above my ankles! In hindsight - I am quite relieved that I didn't have the hoop bit!!

I had the opposite problem - too short for the dress so had extra hoopage to lift it off the ground!
