Helly Welly
I like the look of the Amblers too. A couple of years ago i got some thermal boots from http://www.tchibo.com which weren't too heavy, very comfy and kept even my feet warm. I need a new pair as i wore a hole in my old ones but as i don't do much walking now it's not really essential. Tchibo cycle their products so you have to check every week to see what they have. ubereglu
I have a pair of crocs troika which are great-nice and comfy, keep your feet warm and they don't have any holes in them, so your feet stay dry,
Dinkychick
dont talk to me about crocs. i slipped down 4 stone steps the other day, we took a short cut thru the church yard... never again, they couldnt of been cleaned ever plus i turned the air blue with my foul language. DD nearly wet herself laughing but im still hurting now! You should try http://www.conkershoes.com/ , they are bliss and if you get the chunky rubber soles you wont slip! Geoid
You don't wear Uggs outside do you? No wonder people find them slippery etc, they are meant to be worn indoors as slippers! (my Australian cousins told me so)
Cinnamon
You don't wear Uggs outside do you? No wonder people find them slippery etc, they are meant to be worn indoors as slippers! (my Australian cousins told me so) I know Fred, but some of them have been made now for outdoor wear, which is why I have a pair of slippy ones & a pair of nice grippy thick soled ones

I've not gone for the long ones but some mid calf ones (chocolate colour) http://www.kiwi-sheepskins.com/detail.asp?product_id=FW038 Really hoping they are going to be comfy. I can't get my head around the fact that you don't wear socks Thanks for all your help

Apparently the sheepskin next to your skin regulates the temperature. I guess you won't be sweating much if it's regulated - don't know. I'll have to see! Ardene5
Hi Well at the moment with no two days the same here in Preesall which is near Blackpool, I tend to wear shorts, no socks and crocs when the weather allows me . But if Winter does come early it will be thermals and hiking boots. cam1
Quick question for thoose of you with the mammoth crocs are they slippy i wear caymans but they are so dodgy in the wet especially on the stupid paving that our council saw fit to fit down the parade costing loads of taxpayers money its like walking on ice cam mya velma
The Dogmother
Mammoths have much the same 'body' as Caymans, so they probaby would slip the same way, although i've not had that problem myself.
