Single hen

I won the village show housecraft cup again today so my name will be on it twice! I'm so pleased as my son was so upset when I had to give it back!

 

The competition was a lot tougher this year and I think I'll have to up my game next Autumn.

 

Has anyone else had any village show wins this Autumn?

Thicko here, what's "housecraft"?

Well done anyway, we were supposed to be entering two of our chooks in the local show but I had to work instead and then I was abit concerned about chickens spending the day in a cage on the other hand our Dog won a 2nd in prettiest female dog a first in 6 legs and 1st in best in show! (it was only the local village show )

Thicko here, what's "housecraft"?

Housecraft at our show includes baking, sewing, knitting ,craft, photography and wine making although I only did the baking and the photography. Got lots of second prizes and a 1st for my sausage rolls

I did OK at the autumn show, few firsts and seconds and I think one third. No housecrafts in autumn though.

 

I'm DESPERATE for a cup though - or even a commendation. I did best in the cookery sections in summer and I'm going to enter more of those next time to see if I can up my game there!

I'm doing the official pictures and album for my step daughter's wedding on Friday ... wish me luck ....please.

Chief bridesmaid ... Bride's sister ... has decided she is too fat for pictures and says she now doesn't want to be a bridesmaid. Bride has told her, " not to bother coming to the wedding then".

HELP!!!

All the girls (another three bridesmaids) are here the night before the wedding.

Mother .... husband's ex .... now wants to be in the same car as the bridesmaids which means she has to be here in MY house.

AAAARGHHHH!!!!!

I used to enter the local show and won the cup a few years running, but the show had to be cancelld one year and it's never started up again.

 

I will be entering 5 classes in the local Honey Show on Friday though..........I'm really looking forward to it.......and I'd better go and look for some honey recipes........
