After 8 weeks wait, it is nearly here! :D(cube red):D

I can't wait - despite it pouring rain, flooded garden and no DP around to help me build it!

 

The lovely big run base is nearly finished, just need the delivery of the wood chips and it's all done. The (cube red) will replace the (red eglu) that is off to be a belated birthday present for my friend's son.

 

Hurray!

no chance of building it today (or maybe even tomorrow, although i am ITCHING to get going!) because DP is working away and I volunteer a couple of different things on the Wednesday. I would just LOVE a pair of hands to help - I'm not sure I could manage it on my own, particularly whilst toddler-wrangling too, so I'll have to be patient. Ish. I can dream-shop for new chickens instead

I am on my sofa in Leeds dying of boredom, but I'm not allowed to move as I keep relapsing from my glandular fever and I so want to be well for our omlet meet on the 26th.

 

I would have loved to come and build it with you :( , hope this lovely weather holds for you so you can build it once you have help.

 

And then you have all the fun of chicken shopping, I am so :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

With some "help" (well-meant obstruction and absconding with the screwdriver, mostly) I did the first 5 steps last night. I'm at the bit where I need to bolt the ladder to the front but I *really* need someone to hold it while I screw it in so I will need to wait now!

 

It is very cool and I am dead excited.

 

The roosting bars don't seem to fit - they wobble back and forth scross a fulcrum of the middle bit. I'm hoping that's just cos it isn't all assembled and once built it wall all fit nicely together.
