Charm Bracelets

Recommended Posts

Well I bought a cheap bracelet from China with beads. It was listed as sterling silver bracelet - I knew the beads wouldn't be. It came today & it's not silver at all. It's too small for my mum & I can't even salvage the beads without cutting the bracelet up. :(

I can see me offering it on the free to good home I think.

Anyway that will teach me. I have now ordered a made to measure one from Orkney bracelets, along with some beads. A bit more than I wanted to spend, as already got mums main prezzie, but hey! you only get one mum & she's worth it!

Thought I'd post a picture of Charlotte's troll bracelet that she got yesterday for her 18th. She's over the moon with it :D I also got her Grandad, her Aunty and two of her friends involved and best of all she didn't have a clue.

Was difficult to get a good picture but here goes.

All of the silver beads were chosen for their meaning:

Big Flower Lock

then L to R

Light Turquoise Prism

Tower - ambition.

Letter C

Castle - My home is your home. Fairy castles are where dreams are made.

Pink Rose Ribbon - with a family history of breast cancer we always buy something for this cause.

Forget me Not - Like a promise and a romantic memory in the dazzling beauty of spring that you've never forgotten.

Cherub - A lovely little cherub! Traditionally cherubs support the throne of God and act as guardian spirits. Our cherub is a lovely chubby baby with wings.

an Ooak Bead

Lucky Dragon - The designer says: ”I believe our lives are in our hands we must make the most of them. The Lucky Dragon is to remind us of the extraordinary possibilities in our lives - life is a precious gift.”

Bright Red Prism

Friendship - Two hands in a solid grip, the symbol of friendship and faith. Give this bead to the one whose hand you will always rely on and never let go.

Hare and the Tortoise - One bead beautifully captures the famous Aesop's Fable about the Hare and the Tortoise; here they are poised before the race. The tortoise goes on to prove that perseverance and determination win the day.

and lastly a stopper.

You lot make me laugh. You talk about how much you have saved. Have any of you dared add up how much you have spent

Yes, and I've spent less than I saved - lol

In my defence it has been on my birthday, my Christmas, daughters 18th and daughters Christmas :) Although I have spent more than originally planned I'm sure
