i certainly need the pity as my hubby has run out

 

I hoping that you mean he has run out of sympathy for you and not run out literally! Shame on him he should be rubbing the deep heat on for you.

No he just decided after giving me sympathy for 1 day to develop a stiff neck of his own so that he needed all his own pity for himself .

 

He also seems to be of the strange breed of people who doesn't like the smell of deep heat. I have discovered over the past few days that the smell of deep heat is a like the taste of marmite, it's a love or hate thing.

 

I have had people telling me to get out of rooms , or had virtual strangers sniffing me. That was very unnerving .

I know exactly what you mean - it can be beautiful in the early morning even in the rain.

I was outside the other early morning letting out the ladies into the run , it was raining, my jim jams were pegged up at the bottom of the trouser legs, dressing gown on, short waterproof cape ontop,talking to my girls . Only thing was next doors DS was looking out from his bedroom window - I did get a strange look

 

I can see it now Sue..!!! I often get caught talking to my dogs or chooks - neighbours are thoroughly used to it by now!!

Mostin, poor you, hope everything settles soon, have you tried arnica rather than deep heat, it doesn't smell half so much & the tablets work from the inside so get to the pain & work quicker in my opinion.

 

I know what you mean about the egg saving though, many's the time I've stopped on the mud which is pooling around my back door, only to find that my feet are still going & so nearly end up in an unceremonious heap...but the eggs are safe!!

 

Get that ridiculous happy feeling every time I find an egg in the nest box - even after nearly 6 months, does it ever pass? (I hope not!!)

I took a tumble in our back garden a few years ago, pre chooks. Unluckily for me I broke my ankle in 4 places Even now, when it gets a bit icy I am walking so tentatively. My hubby had to walk the two youngest to school today due to the icy paths. I am such a

 

Mind you, it has taken him all this time to actually start to put in proper steps on the slope I fell down . . . .

, naughty hubby, that sounds very familiar. Where I fell was where I have pointed out how slippy it is and how much of a death trap that part of the garden is. But has anything been done .

 

I can understand you being scared to walk on the ice now, I've been creeping up the garden this week, scared in case it happens again. It really knocks your confidence. You just don't expect to fall when you're a grown up (at least not when sober).

 

I'm off to the garden centre soon to get some live meal worms as a treat for my girls , and to see if I can find some garden shoes with really good grips for me .
