Olly
Maybe that should be one of those 'Rules' after a night out ... you know, like the one about hide your mobile so you don't send texts that you regret the next morning. Perhaps there should be a 'never post on the Omlet forum after the Christmas party' rule. Not that ANH has anything to regret, it's just I've never known her spelling to be so wayward before! Bet you're right Lesley, she's still asleep.
Egluntyne
Dancing round handbags? Am glad you had a good time. I had my first Christmas dinner last night. I say dinner.... ........the vegetarian option appeared to be a lukewarm tin of Campbell's condensed tomato soup with a bag of defrosted frozen vegetables and a bit of green pasta topped with 1/2 oz of grated cheese. It was 'orrible.
Gamebird
Glad you had a good time. Do you remember any of it??? How does your body feel this morning after its boogie?? Did you have fried bread, eggs and bacon for breakfast? Did you have breakfast? Hope you have a mellow chilled out day.

It was 'orrible. I always have a moan about this in the All Things Nice section - I'm out to lunch today....at a carvery The veggie option there hasn't changed in a hundred years.........vegetable tartlet...... I think we'll be making ANH feel a whole lot worse when she does get up....... (just don't mention fried breakfast )

Egluntyne
Ooh Egluntine- you've been spoiled!! I know! It was the kind of thing that would have been thrown together by an impecunious student who is using up the bits of food that just happen to be in the cupboard. At £35 quid a head it was a pretty poor show. I didn't complain because I am such a lovely person. The Apple Pie was nice.
Redwing
ooooh! good night out then ANH? Get some cornflakes inside you to soak it up a bit. Bit more water with it next time eh? I didn't go to our works do as I am the manager and it would have been weird for them all, I didn't want them to feel like they couldn't have fun
Ain't Nobody Here
Hello everyone . Another pint of water was consumed in the wee small hours so I feel absolutely fine (sleeping till 11am helped too) . Had to have lots of toast with real butter and a cup of tea to complete the healing process though . Have to say, that was a pretty good Christmas party. I swore last year I wouldn't ever go to one again because it was absolutely dreadful (food, venue, prices - and the fire alarm evacuation (no pun intended!) when I was sitting on the loo didn't help ). However I was persuaded and went with a feeling of dread. It was at Dynamic Earth and was very impressive. Beautifully (and classily) decorated, lovely food, drinks that didn't cost the "Earth" and a separate dance floor so you could sit and talk if you wanted to (I didn't ). The best bit was getting a lift there from a friend's OH and him coming back to pick us up at 1am (we hadn't asked him to!). There was a danger of getting dragged "up the town" by the youngsters otherwise - not a good move ) I'm not looking forward to the photos - the 18 yr old I was talking about was a bit trigger happy with her camera . I have to say I thought this morning, why oh why did I go on the forum in that state . It's OH's fault, he'd left the PC on .
poachedegg
Glad you had a good time......and your not feeling the after affects too much! Re Posting on the forum in the early hours: you made us 'stay at home saddos' smile.

chickencam
I think that I posted a post party ramble this time last year You're not alone, the pints of water work a treat, if only I had known that in my youth
BeckyBoo
Excellent result! I went to my first works do for years this year at a comedy club in Portsmouth, it was great. I found, after my 40th birthday do this summer, that sitting perfectly still, and I mean completely motionless and not moving except to breathe for approximately 5 1/2 hours also stopped the room spinning and my stomach from heaving!! Ain't Nobody Here
Oh dear . The photos are doing the rounds . Why have I got less and less photogenic as the years roll by . There are very fetching photos of: my nostrils; mid-blowing up of a very long pink balloon; staring belligerantly at a colleague dancing and best of all, a huge close up of my face grinning through a misty window (didn't think for a minute that photo would come out, sadly it did ).
