Guest
went to our local farmers' market tonight, it's normally on a weekend during the day but they decided to have it tonight so they could also sell Christmas trees!? Anyway, this is me and my friend (who has a chutney/preserves/mustard/salsa etc etc stall) I make lemon curd for her and help her on the stall (that's why I had to juice all those lemons last night!) By the way, recognise the pinnie anyone? It was supposed to be a Christmas present but I opened the parcel by mistake It was soooooooooooooooooo cold, I had about 6 layers on and a furry hat but I was still frozen! We were just packing up at this point. Anyway, the point was, on the way out I passed these and Ian forced me to buy 3 of them!!! (2 little ones and a big one) Men!!! Good point, Poet... what are you thinking of getting him to MAKE you buy next? If he really concentrated do you think he could MAKE me go to the bookshop tomorrow? Guest
Hope you sold out of lemon curd Poet after all your juicing last night !! only sold a few last night (I normally sell out when it's at the weekend), I think people were staying in, snuggled in front of the TV! The lady who runs the stall has some more markets to attend over the weekend so hopefully she'll sell out as they are regular events. There's barely any profit in it to be honest and I spend more money than I make (on other goodies at the market) but I get a trade discount from the other stallholders, so that saves me a few quid, and I really enjoy doing it The fruit and veg man usually gives the other stallholders freebies at the end of the night too, I got a melon and a savoy cabbage for free last night I wouldn't be able to do it full time as it's very exhausting and very hard work, I wish I could A few hours once a month is great fun though and it gets me out of the house
