Phonix
Sorry guys warning before I start but I need to rant lol! Had really elaborate plans for the next week and christmas involving me, my friend and lots of travelling between liverpool, craster and my family in cumbria BUT no such luck now! All the sheds on her street were burgled the other day but thank goodness they didn't in hers...didn't realise anything had happened until last night when we heard the gate banging. Only reason we noticed that was cos something/one smashed the front room window about 11o'clock last night when we were in the house and then every noise after that scared the life out of us So now just sat in on what was supposed to be a nice week with her family in Craster (and missing supper with santa at Regead tonight ) waiting for someone to come put the new window pane in. We managed to get them to come out last night to board the window up though. Only the first pane had shattered with the inside one still being intact thank goodness cos one of the cats was at in the windowsill poor little thing Where do they get off on doing such horrid things!! Olly
oh what a rotten thing to happen ... I do hope you can get over it and still enjoy Christmas even if it's not the original plan. As Egluntine says, it helps to believe in Karma!
Phonix
well the very nice men who came up and boarded up the window called yesterday and said they'd been able to get the glass so would come over and fit it the same day. They did and were really nice and quick. Sooo now the plans are still that we miss out on Craster cos we had to call and cancel the cattery that my friends cats were supposed to be in but will head up to see my parents on christmas eve and stay up there for a few days
fowlbird
what a nasty thing to happen! Glad your plans aren't entirely ruined and I hope you have a lovely relaxing holiday after the shock and anger.
Phonix
well just when I was getting back in the christmas spirit we got up this morning to find that the little lovelies (said with as much sarcasm as I can muster as I am minding my langauage so feel free to fill with whatever word for the little darlings as you see fit!) had tried to pry open my friends back door and the patio doors during the night So not nice to know that this is going on while your asleep. Just had the police round AGAIN and guess what - they can't do anything. suprise? i dont think so! They just suggested all sorts of things to put on top of the very tall wall that the little lovelies are climbing over - problem? why do you get this sort of stuff from and how do you fix it to the wall? Does anyone know anything about any of this?! (From what you all say it sounds like you live in nice areas so perhaps no need for this stuff?) and bit of advice required - do you think if she puts some of this anti-intruder stuff up that they'll go even more out of their way to break windows etc because theyr annoyed that she'd dare to try to protect her own home?! Thats my worry. Stacey x
Ain't Nobody Here
How awful, Stacey . Horrible at any time of year but how can these excuses for human beings behave like this just before Christmas ? I found a thread about protecting your garden - don't know if it will be any help? http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=19571&hilit=intruder+strip
Ardene5
Hi So sorry to here what has happened to you, those morons need a taste of there own medic sen. Most likely some idiot tried to get at the cat and the other idiots it is a quick buck as they broke into huts to see what was there to make a cheap selling item to buy drugs or where people are keeping christmas presents. They are clots. Here hoping they get their neck felt by the law. Keep your chin up and try and salvage a nice Christmas. Here is hoping you have a better New Year.
